Hi there! :) Another year, another Bouchercon. I’m going because it’s in Cleveland, and I’d hoped to catch a ride with Jack Bludis, but he decided to fly out. So, I figured okay, take a flight. Why not? I flew across the freaking ocean this summer and went to the Place of Many Stairs and did fine. While on drugs, which I’m back on, because I needed them.

Even so, my hand can barely move, and it’s freaking me out slightly. Ha ha ha …

But don’t worry. I’ll be fine. :)

On the plus side, I did get the most encouraging email from my doctor. He seems to have actually sort of liked what I wrote in the stroke survivor chapter. So … I guess it didn’t totally suck ass. Isn’t that awesome?

So … I’ve been working … slowly … on the young adult novel. And I’m thinking of sending a few more chapters to the writers group before I leave for Bouchercon. Maybe.

Anyhow, this will be my last post for a while. I won’t promise you when the next one will be up since I don’t believe in predictions. :)

However, assuming all goes well, I’ll leave this link up to my Sam McRae mystery series project. I hope you’ll consider contributing and/or sharing the link with others.

And in other news:

The Great and Powerful Wizard of Oz is evidently amazing.

Thank you! We need more people to write posts like this one!

Penelope Trunk totally rocks!

Amen, Penelope! Amen!!!

FWIW, Penelope Trunk and I completely agree about Tim Ferriss. Check the post script on this monthly column. :)

You just never know.

And here’s my monthly column. Because you just never know. :)

PS: Did you know this is Banned Books Week?

And, on that note, let’s end things with the weirdest most interesting song you could ever imagine hitting #1 on the UK pop charts. Courtesy of Nik Nak’s Old Peculiar.
