That’s right! Tomorrow, June 15, is the big day. The Amazon book launch for the print version of LEAST WANTED will take place. As part of the launch, I’m offering a FREE autographed copy of the New York Times (ebook) fiction bestseller IDENTITY CRISIS to anyone who buys a copy of LEAST WANTED on June 15. You can read the details in the launch Web site. Be sure to bookmark the site, so you can enter the confirmation of purchase to redeem your free copy of IDENTITY CRISIS. I’ll also tweet the launch site separately today and tomorrow, to make sure everyone gets a chance to read it.

Now, as I mentioned, in addition to the 2-for-1 special, this book launch has a charitable tie-in. For this book launch, I decided to pick a charity with the mission of serving the needs of young people and children, since LEAST WANTED is (for the most part) about an adolescent girl whose life is heading in the wrong direction.

So, I decided to make a donation to Advocates for Children & Youth, in an amount to be determined based upon where the book ends up ranking at the end of the launch date.

FYI, one of the things that impressed me about ACY was their emphasis on avoiding juvenile incarceration in favor of community-based programs, as well as their particular interest in such programs for girls.

If you read the book, you’ll know why these factors weighed heavily in my decision to choose this charity.

Okay, so once again … about the donation, here’s how it’s going to work.

If by the end of the day, LEAST WANTED:

Hits the Top 1,000 on Amazon.com, I’ll donate $100; or

Hits the Top 500 in Amazon.com, I’ll donate $250; or

Hits the Top 100 in Amazon.com, I’ll donate $500; or

If we should get so lucky …

Hits #1 in Amazon.com, I’ll donate $1,000.

Like I said, it’s an ambitious plan, but let’s see how well we can do, okay? :)

And, hey, while you’re on Amazon and buying a paperback, why not kick in $3.99 and support tsunami relief efforts in Japan by downloading a copy of the awesome anthology SHAKEN: Stories for Japan? I’ll even give you a sample to read. Hope you enjoy it. :)
