Wrap up of today’s appearance at the Baltimore Book Festival
Atmospheric conditions: Mostly sunny
Temperature: 90 degrees Fahrenheit
Attendance: Many, many people (I didn’t count)
Wholesale book sales: $40
Retail book sales: $0
The chance to take a day off from writing and have brunch with my awesome husband, his cousin, his partner and two good friends, then meet a really nice author Joanne Aaronson (who came all the way up to Baltimore from Virginia — what a trooper!
), an ordained minister and “intuitive life coach” who’s written a book called THE CIRCLE OF LIFE: A Journey Through Grief to Understanding, after which I visited the Author Collective and sold them five books at wholesale price (see above), followed by a talk with two booksellers (who couldn’t take my books on consignment
— rules, you know
) who suggested an indie bookstore I might like to approach about a signing called Ivy Bookshop (on Falls Road in Baltimore) (now that’s awesome!
), then hanging out with the aforementioned awesome husband, cousin, partner and friends, sipping espresso (I’m so there!) and listening to a live band and people watching: Priceless.
What’s not to like?

Hi Debbi! I was there also today. I’ll be there on Sunday also, so if you’re going to be there I’ll stop by and say hello.
