Well, to be more accurate about it, my short story “The Right to Remain Silent” published on the most notable Back Alley Webzine has been nominated for the Derringer Award, given out by the Short Mystery Fiction Society. OMG! OMFG!!
All right. Relax. Deep breath. Maintain.
To say this is an honor (and a most unexpected one) would be the understatement of the year. (Or the decade? The century?)
Wow. I feel faint. I think I’m gonna pass out. (That’s because you’re blogging instead of eating lunch, you stupid.)
Am I dreaming? No, it’s true.
My story’s been nominated for a Derringer. And I’d be lying if I said I felt anything other than totally awesome.

I’ve got a short crime story free at Smashwords. http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/9588 – I’d love your opinion of it.
Also, would you be interested in a guest blog spot at Wicked Writers? It’s a relatively new blog on wordpress, and I have just joined as the crime/mystery author.

I’ll be glad to take a look at it.
And a guest blog spot would be cool. I’ve been considering doing a blog tour. Would you be willing to have me as a guest as part of one?
We can work out the details by email.

[...] you can see from this post dated April 1, 2010, I was … happy to find out I’d been nominated, to say the least. [...]
